February 7th & 8th - 7pm - $5 - $3 students The Parkway Theater 644 Broadway Avenue, Mckees Rocks 15136 - 412 766 1668 Do you have a sixth sense when it comes to guessing movie twists? Does it make you psycho when your friends are floored over a surprise ending that you saw coming se7en ways from Sunday? Are you able to easily eliminate the usual suspects and zero in on the real killer’s identity? If so, the makers of the Pittsburgh-shot indie feature “Kultur Shock!” would like to challenge you to guess the twist at the end of this locked room mystery inspired by Rod Serling’s “The Twilight Zone.” “Kultur Shock!” is about three prisoners who wake up injured in a locked, windowless room with no memory of who they are or how they got there. Identified only by their armband colors – red, white, and blue – they are forced to participate in bizarre and degrading classes taught by a mysterious voice transmitted through a disfigured Uncle Sam doll. They are shaken by strange noises that come from outside the facility which Uncle Sam instructs them to ignore. Led by the naturally rebellious Blue, the three prisoners plot to overthrow Uncle Sam, escape the room, and discover the shocking truth of whom and – just as importantly – where they really are. Follow the clues in “Kultur Shock!” on February 7th at 7:00 p.m. when it screens at the Parkway Theater at 644 Broadway Avenue in McKees Rocks. If you can guess the twist (and are not connected to anyone involved in the making of this film) you will be eligible for a free treat from the theater’s coffee shop or tickets to an upcoming show as a memento of your experience. Keyser Soze is counting on you. |
