Within an hours drive of Pittsburgh is the little town of Ohiopyle. Each year they open the main falls for the Over the Falls Festival. This year, the 15th Annual Ohiopyle Over the Falls Festival will take place on Saturday, August 16, 2014.
Cancellation Dates: If the Festival cannot be run on August 16 due to high water, the event will take place on Aug 23 or Sept 6. Depending on the circumstances, the Town Party may still be held on Aug 16, 2014
Town Party at Laurel Highlands Outdoor Center Front Porch - 7:30 - 10:30 PMLive music – Band Film – Shots of participants over the Falls. Do not miss this town party. It'll be bigtime fun...and it's Free!
Yes, our Falls-dropping friends, the Fest is back! The new Visitors' Center has been built, and we'll have a great event this year! While we've been able to gain much expanded access to the Falls for many months of the year (and that's great!), this is the when you can run laps over the Falls. Put in, drop the Falls, hike back up, drop the Falls again... Lather, Rinse, Repeat!
Plenty of help is needed and as in the past they will require everyone 18 and over who wants to run the Falls to give the event at least one hour of safety! Registration fees have been reduced to $15 and volunteers who give us at least two hours of their time will receive a cool T-shirt. Registration forms and waivers are included on this Website. We ask that you download the forms at the link below and bring them with you to the event in order to save time. You can sign up for the race and/or freestyle competitions or to just do practice runs the day of the event. Price: $15 Entry info: http://www.fallsrace.com/
